I was @the hospital today for my 2nd physio session. Hadn't had anything earlier I decided to head to the cafeteria only to find out it's at the opposite block. Damn! I cursed; telling myself I should have parked my car @that block instead (but physiotherapy department is located here, hence my action).

I took the lift to 1st floor, wanting to cross over to the opposite using the link bridge. But instead found out there's a food court located on that floor. It was a quarter past 1. The food court was packed with internal staff. Aaah .. the food court must be cater to them, I thought. The queue was long &I saw several non-staff like myself.

Using a pair of crutches was soo troublesome. I decided to put one aside and use just one so it would be easier for me to take the tray. After ordering and paid for my food and drink, I tried using my left hand to bloody balance the tray filled with 2 plates & a cup of drink. It was a darn task. I almost dropped the whole thing. Amused, not even one nurse who lined up behind me actually came to help. Except for one who was sitting pretty far away from the counter noticed me and came forward to help me.

The probablity of helpfulness amongst these people in that room is almost nil! How dissapointing.

I made a fool outta myself during my conversation with an ex.

Phuket: Day 3

Mich &Nicky left on the third day.

Me &Roy decided to contact the travel agent we booked for island trip from for a 1-day tour around the island (Phuket).

The tour lasted for about 4 hours with a charge of RM80 per person.

Places that we'd visited include:

Elephant camp
Shooting range
Temple
Phromthep Cape
Bungee jump site

On the last night of our stay, we went to one of the pubs for a short drink before deciding to call it a (early) night. On the way back to our hotel room, we thought it would be a waste to sleep so early so we stopped by 7-11 to buy booze &had a little party in our room. Soaking in the jacuzzi &chit-chatting our night away.

We woke up pretty late the next morning &left with little time for some shopping and lunch before heading to airport for our 4pm flight home.

The trip to Phuket is definitely worthwhile.

As airfares now are so very affordable, you should insert Phuket into your travel list. We paid only RM315 each for the flight fare!

Phuket: Day 2

We were given an hour on the island for lunch and shopping. Divers' paradise I would say. The whole streets are filled with divers' shops, which I think most of them are owned by foreigners.

Roy got all excited and asked me to take a photo of him in front of the biggest dive shop (he'd gotten his diving license not long ago &already wanting to make a trip to the island again for diving).

Our last stop was Khai island; about 20-30 minutes boat ride from Phi Phi Don island. I am so IN LOVE with that island.

Its a small island with absolute nothing except for umbrellas and benches, a small bar &toilet. The weather was terrific for sunbathing on that day.

All I did was just staring blankly into the crystal clear water; thinking of absolute nothing with a chilled beer and sunbathe for the 2hours we were there. Simply awesome.

We then headed back to Phuket around 330pm.

If you ask me whether its worth to pay RM180 for the island-hopping trip; I can tell you its worth every single cent even if we were to pay for the regular price of RM280 each :)

Phuket: Day 2

On the second day, we were picked up by people from the travel agency early in the morning, about 8.30 am - for our island hopping trip. Me and Roy were the first two to be fetched;the van driver then went on to fetch a few more nearby our hotel before heading to the jetty.

We were the last group to arrive at the jetty. Imagine our dismay to see the amount of people who were already there awaiting to go onboard the speedboat. Tourists were more or less 10 pax in a group; and from the travel agency alone was about 6 groups exclude the others from other travel agencies.

We took off 10 minutes later and the duration to our first stop was about 45mins-1 hour. On board we were given home-made cookies and unlimited supply of soft drinks.

When the boat slowed down after some time, all of us stood up to see where we were.

It was the stunningly beautiful Maya island; the place where the movie, The Beach was shot.

Eager Roy and Nickly quickly jumped into the water and snorkelled without us girls.

One thing slack of the area was it was soo crowded with tourists. We ended up bumping into others than seeing the live creatures underneath (there were only dead corals and little fishes to see anyways).

30 minutes passed and we headed off to Scandinavian Cave, we didn't stop to visit the place itself. It was just a mere 3-5 minutes explaination about the place and some photo taking on the boat. Birds nest is being produced from there and is exported to other countries.

We then arrived in Monkey Beach after a 5 minute boat ride before stopping in Phi Phi Don Island for our lunch break. Here, we were all given either bananas or bread to feed the wild monkeys who live in the island. Some who didn't fancy on feeding the monyets went for a short swim around that area.

After 15 minutes or so, we were all hurried by our tour guide as we were a little behind our schedule and after getting all the head counts, off we went to Phi Phi Don Island.

Phuket: Day 1

Approx 9pm, we met up for dinner at one of the seafood restaurants. Mich kept hurried us as she got to know from a Thai guy who worked for an a-go-go pub that the tiger show (or ping-pong show) would be starting in an hour.

Even so, we were almost late for the show as we were so engrossed in our conversation. Hurriedly, we foot the bill and rushed to the pub.

Inside, was already packed with people. We got ourselves a seat on the long couch near the end of the stage. As the place wasn't big, we had pretty good view of the whole stage. Drinks' prices were way too expensive! I reckon the overpriced drinks were the price we had to pay for the show. A glass of Bailey was 300 baht (RM30); Margarita @400baht (RM40); and Heineken bottle @300baht (RM30). In normal pubs, you could get it at half the price.

30 minutes passed, we were still being "entertained" by meatless a-go-go dancers. It was not until another 15 minutes or so, the tiger show started. The only amused performance was the stunt which the lady stuffed live little gold fishes and turtles into her vagina. She then placed a bowl filled with water and the next thing we saw was the gold fishes and turtles coming out from her vagina; dropped into the bowl and still swimming around. Hah, lucky them. I thought they were stuffed to death inside :P

I would say the whole entire performance wasn't as expected; especially the performer's looks. You see more fat and hair than any other thing on her. Yikes.

The night ended with a few pub hoppings and endless rounds of Bacardi flavours.

*Sorry it takes me almost a week to finish up my post on my first day trip. Boo hoo. My notebook still hasn't sent for a fix.

Phuket: Day 1

Upon arrival at the Phuket International Airport, we were greeted by horde of Thais working for their respective taxi companies located everywhere in the airport compound. Unsure of the price we were to pay to get to our destination, Patong beach; we checked with a few before deciding to take up the one operating at the entrance of the airport. Price difference between the few wasn't much; a mere 100 baht. Oh before I forget, the taxi fare from airport to Patong beach was 550 baht - a 40 minute drive.

Already dead tired because of the lack of sleep and so couldn't wait to check in to our hotel, the taxi driver stopped at a travel agency, telling us to wait for a while. We thought he needed to go to the loo. Instead, a few Thai girls came to our car and invited us in to the office. Hah. What a way to market their services.

Since our plan to Phuket was to do some island hoppings, we checked the packages they'd to offer. We were informed that 1-day tour package to Phi Phi island &a few others would be charged at 2800 baht (RM280) per person and that they're doing a promotion on the tour; so the price was cut down to 1800 baht (RM180) per person. Thinking they simply came out with the prices, we excused ourselves by saying we needed to get in touch with our friends to check if they were interested. Therefore, we'll get back to them by then. One of the girls was so persistent and told us she'll give us a call at 5pm to confirm on the trip (they knew where we were staying). We then left.

It was not another 15 minutes only we arrived at our hotel. After unloaded our luggages, we hurried ourselves to the streets in Patong to look for food. It was very,very hot that day. We settled at one of the open-area restaurants, which was a 10 minute walk from our hotel, Deevana Patong. I'd noticed the sign board was not stated only in Thai but other languages such as Chinese, Korean, Japanese, German (I think or other kwai-lo languages). The waiter even talked to me in Chinese! Food and drinks were priced at affordable prices. 50 baht for a plate of Paad Thai or Pork Noodles Soup; 50 baht for a bottle of Chang beer. We later found out the F&B prices at any restaurant around that area were more or less the same.

We surveyed on the price for the sort of 1-day tour package after lunch. All the travel agencies we visited had the same price offered, 2800 baht - and we thought the initial agency was simply giving out prices. I quickly texted Michelle asking if she'd be interested to join us since we'll need to let them know soon.

As the weather was getting unbearable, we headed back to our hotel room. Laze in the jacuzzi and got ourselves so comfortable with our spots to only being interrupted by a call, the Thai lady from the travel agency earlier who was at our hotel at that point of time. After confirmation and payment were done, we went back to our room to take a nap while waiting for Michelle's reply on our meeting time.

Me and Roy headed to Pyramid for movie last Thursday.

As it was an hour or maybe more before the show time, we decided to window-shop for a bit. Which, turned out to be quite the opposite. Aaah .. The HUMONGOUS stickers glued on both Topshop's &Ms Selfridge's fronts. The next thing I know was I spent almost the entire time @the outlets before rushing for the movie. Boo hoo.

What happened between me and a staff @Topshop pissed me off, so much initially. But seeing the way he responded to my lines had happified me instead. Haha.

I picked up a few tops and had them tried @the changing room. I'd taken the wrong size on the only top I'd instantly liked.

So I passed the wrong size top together with the other unwanted ones to the store assistant and headed straight to the rack to look for the my size, which was a 6. Dissapointed, there were only 10s left.

I walked up to the store assistant who was in-charge of the changing rooms side and asked if he could check in the store for the size I wanted. Being a friendly and chirpy one, he quickly walked in and tried to look for it. While waiting for him, I looked around the area where I stood, which was right next to the rack of clothes tidily hung just before one enters the changing rooms (the small section where people return the clothes they have tried on).

And I found the top with the exact size I wanted. Reaching for the top, the store assistant rushed out and stopped me saying the top was reserved.

Wanting that top so much, I asked him how long had the top been reserved.

He turned to one of his colleagues who in turn came to serve me.

Before that guy could reply me, another staff, a girl told me "Dah reserve lama tapi tak beli lagi"

I of course replied "If that's the case, lepas saja lah! Saya nak"

That was when the guy interrupted by saying "I'm sorry this top is reserved for a regular customer"

Wah ... Of course la angry la.

I then asked "In what circumstances a customer is considered a regular customer?"

Unsure how to respond he just said "Actually this regular customer is .. just so happen one of the customers I know who shops here pretty often"

Dah lah bengang.

"Oh? I'd made a total purchase of RM1 000 over in one of the past months and usually a couple of hundred bucks a month or 2. Does that make me a regular customer too?"

Startled. He quickly apologized and offered the top.

In the end, I declined and walked off.

Grrr.

By the way, I got the exact same top in KLCC yesterday. Tee hee.

Think I should start blogging on my travel trips more detailed. I mean, I've been travelling quite a number of times for the past one year but never once I really mentioned thoroughly about my trip; which I think I should insert it in my blog as travel log.

Past one week had been a hectic week for me. I'm glad that I could be with my girlfriend when she needed someone to accompany her. Hope everything's fine by now. Aaah, not gonna elaborate on what had happened. That it is.

My travel marathon has started!

I'd spent the past 4days in a quiet island and did absolutely nothing other than

snorkelling
drinking

&the same all over.

Not forgetting, I saw DOLPHINS!!! :)

Been searching for resorts for the past 3 hours since I got home. Last week, I'd called up numerous resorts in Koh Phangan to make booking but all responded with the same line of "Fully-booked!". My trip to the island is like 3 months more but almost all the resorts are fully-booked. Can you believe it?

And it's not easy to look for resorts which offer RM150 - RM180 per night for the 19 of us.

Sigh.

Better be a positive feedback from any of the resort I'd sent the booking form to.

My Encounter @Mambo On Merdeka Eve.

Me I was @Mambo Zouk last Merdeka eve. Whilst waiting for Roy to reach, all I did was drinking &drinking &drinking with friends except for one incident which my friend introduced me to this guy who told me he was standing next to me all along. I was oblivious of his presence.

And I don't normally strike up a conversation even after I'm being introduced to someone. So what happened was he talked to me and I responded in nonchalant manner.

Until what happened later that made me decided to shoo this fella off.

Him : Hey cheers! *Gave

me his glass*

Me : No thanks. I'll drink from my glass. Cheers.

He insisted me to drink from his glass.

Me : Really no thanks. I'm not trying to be rude but to be frankwith you, I don't like to share glasses.

And I quickly added, "Hope you won't get offended. It's just a friend's relative of mine is infected with Hep A/B, I can't remember. All because of this.

Him : It's ok. I have Hep antibodies you know. You're safe to take my drink.

Of that, I walked off. He still had the guts to walk to me and said "Hey you don't have to be scared of me you know .. "

I just smiled and turned back to my friends.

Seriously, how stupid can a person be? Or how thick skin can a person be?

Yes you see it right. I just turned down my mother's offer minutes ago. :(

Goddammit!!!

All because:

1. I'd made purchase on airtickets to K. Terengganu approx 12.30pm today.

2. Stoopid MAS' promotion on airfares to Korea is so bloody limited;

3. Hence our initial plan to go in October (before Raya) has to be cancelled cos there is no availability on return flight which
we requested.

4. So mother gives a nod to her travel agent to make booking rightaway once he can get hold of seats any day, next week.

5. If booking is made for next week's flight, I won't be able to make it cos; back to point no.1, my trip to the island is on
29.9 - 2.10.

Now you know.

db-8 Is Back In Town!

Found out about this great filipino band last year when me and a coupla friends made a trip down to Planet Hollywood after a tiring day @college (as usual we thought alcohol's the best remedy after a long day @whatever, tee hee). We heard they left for Indonesia after their contract ended.

Hey, this is not the usual live bands you see in most places singing Beyond's songs + 'Malam-malam aku sendiri ..' (I don't know the title) even the vocalists know you can't understand a god damn thing about what their singing; just as long as you scream your lungs out when they start to play the songs - that'll be enough; cos they'll also start screaming together with you :P

Ok; so back to db-8. Minus the female vocalist and keyboardist (lengchai keyboardist who can sing She Will Be Loved so well that he sounds like the main singer from Maroon 5 himself! -----> *ahem* One of the reasons why I frequent Planet Hollywood so much when they were playing there. Anyhow, they are still as good as before :D

They will be playing @Hard Rock Cafe; 11pm onwards until end of this month. So make your way down to Hard Rock before it's too late!!

Boo hoo. About 14 of us who are deeply affected by the coup will have just one thing in our minds at this point of time - HOW LA OUR TRIP TO THE COUNTRY?!

I'm not exaggerating la. We are all so looking forward for our year end trip and now, if political instability is still occuring by then we'll have to cancel.

Not forgetting my trip to Phuket next month. Sheesh.

I Watched Too Much Documentaries

Finally, I'm able to stay connect with the WWW for a short while after much absenteeism. Streamyx @home was down for a coupla days and notebook hasn't sent for a fix; luckily my boyfriend brought home his G4. But I've noticed pretty much features are designed with the use of Windows -_-''

And fucking hell!!! I don't fucking know how to use even the simpler 'just click on the bloody upload image button and get the photos uploaded' steps. Sheesh. It just didn't seem to work; took ages to load what seemed to be never ending loading of the image(s) which defeat my whole purpose of this post - to upload more photos of another awesome villa to lookout for in Phuket which I've found a week or more ago, Sri Panwa :P

That asides, I've been watching A LOT A LOT A LOT of National Geographic and Discovery Channel in the recent months. Sometimes, Travel and Living too. Earlier this evening on Travel and Living was this documentary about Europe's Richest People and how they've and are living their lives until this moment. One of the celebrities is Uri Gennel (Pardon me, I don't quite remember his name) who earned millions of dollars every month in the 70s and how he'd mentioned in this interview that the more in tact he was with the material world, the more he had lost touch of himself, his real self and the meaning of life. And how John Lennon was the one who saved him from falling into what, to many, seem to believe money can buy everything with just one question - "What is spirituality to you?" At that point of time, he sold his houses in Manhattan and Connecticut, packed all his belongings and left for Japan together with his mother and wife. He then went straight to Mt. Fuji and stayed in the forest and meditated for a year or more with no connections with the outside world. He then returned to the States to start a new life as he'd found the whole new meaning of life.And he gave his two cents worth on materialism and staying away from it.

For one who'd achieved that much in life to say that, it's definitely easy-peasy; but what about those who constantly have to worry whether they'll have enough money to feed their families/themselves for just one meal? Would they think about 'rediscovering themselves' at this point of time or find whatever ways they could to earn just enough money to survive? Ok, maybe not to that situation as the answer is obvious. What about those middle-class earners who have families/themselves to feed and bills to pay every single month? One left with no choice but to chase for money to fulfil his/her commitments. Until the point when one no longer chase for money but letting the money to chase him/her, that's when his/her financial is so strong that he/she, may then consider of 'rediscovering his-/herself' (Sometimes I try to explain things which I, myself find it rather confusing =P)

What I'm trying to say is I do agree to an extent money is not everything but without money, one cannot achieve what he/she wants in life and; Please bear in mind, we cannot deny the fact that almost each of us has fallen into the 'materialism trap' in this jet-propelled world today.

Now this is what I call perfect holiday.

I met up with mother and a friend of hers, whois a reputable fengshui master in the country as well as in the UAE; for lunch last week. Whilst mother went off to the ladies, he started asking me about my education.

"So I heard from your mother you've just graduated .. Congratulations"

"Thank you. I did a major in Marketing in INTI Subang"

"Aaah I see. Why INTI? There are quite a few colleges around that area right?"

"'Cos INTI offers British programme which is just what I wanted. Moreover, mother said 'Sunway, No Way'

"Oh. Why is that so?"

"You know. Sunway is famous for its rich-kids-who-dont-go-to-college to enrich their knowledge but to show-offs"

"Oh. I don't agree with that. By the way, my son's from there"

That was 2 weeks ago by the way. I haven't got a chance to update as my notebook has gone kaput on me. And the best thing is, I lost my receipt :\ - it's still under warranty. So at the moment, my notebook serves as a display item in my room. I reckon it's gonna be a pretty expensive figure imposed if I sent it for a fix at the center.

Also, considering I'm currently jobless (hence the reluctant me to spend extra $ on the repair) and hunting for part-time jobs which, hopefully can last me (on my expenditures) til end of this year. Why not permanent job you may ask? Cos I have a lot of plans lined up til early of January. Boo hoo. I'll elaborate on that in my next entry. Til then.

I am still on holiday mood. Damn. The beach holiday was too short :\

& there was no sun; weather during our 4 days stay @Samui/Phangan was either cloudy or slightly rained. SO POTONG STIM. So no sun. So no tanning. So the fair me still. Weather aside. Each of us so very much fell in love with the place :)

We left with little time on the first day of arrival because of the damn flight schedule which only flies in the evening. By the time we arrived it was already 6pm plus another hour and a half we wasted searching for an appropriate hotel (The night before, I spent almost 3 hours on the Web searching for hotels within our budget and the few ones that I found were just a complete waste of my time because it's either too far from the town or it's a little run down; I finalised with the few based on the comments given by the tourists who stayed there - now I learn my mistake. Never rely on comments given by mat-sallehs).

We left the hotel for dinner and party party after checking-in. Photos below basically round up our first night.

We took the earliest boat to Phangan the next morning. And the same routine for the next 3 days - food, beach, booze, special shakes, booze, beach, food, special shakes, booze, shopping, beach ... :D The discos were open til dawn and they're located along the beach so it was just so .. F U N! Imagine dancing away barefoot in the sand :)

Sorry peeps. I've been busy busy. Just got one of my assignments done; so I'd like to update my blog a little. :)

Went to quite a number of places for the past 2 weeks or so. First it was my birthday dinner @Nerovino; Hotlink Kick-off Party in Malacca in the same week; dropped by Cafe Flam for an hour or so the following week; and down to Velvet for Visnu's birthday party the night after. Then it's all back to lectures&assignments assignments&lectures lectures&assignments ..

I've stopped working since the beginning of this year (erm, to have better time management?). Definitely can't afford to miss any of the lectures; and definitely aiming for 2nd Upper. :) Thinking about it makes me just wanna stop doing what I'm doing right now and grab one of the textbooks from the shelf to study a little. No, I'm not that hardworking; just that I haven't really started studying on any of the fucking double-module subjects I'm taking. Boleh mati. -_-''

World Cup has started. Lucky my boyfriend is not a football fanatic.Phew.

Anyways, I noticed that almost every single tv commercial is about football. From telcos to FMCGs like peanuts and detergent powder (BREEZE)???? Ok. That's pretty RIDICULOUS. Peanuts .. i see a tiny bit of relation? You watch football matches. You drink beer. You have snacks like peanuts whilst watching.So the ad serves as a reminder; You watch. You drink. And think of (I forgot the brand name) if you'd like to have snacks. But detergent powder?? What? Ronaldinho goes down to the field. Play. And got himself dirtied and he uses Breeze to wash his jerseys?? So you football fans (or everyone?) out there. Wanna wash your clothes, please use BREEZE. Bwaha. What kind of endorsement is this. My god.

The lack of parking spaces provided in SS15 Subang Jaya has caused so many problems to the motorists. Many resolve to double-park after endless rounds in search of a parking space; and rush to settle their whatever business as quickly as possible, in fear of being issued summons by MPSJ officers.

Those of you who live in SJ should know so well that SS15 area is always overcrowded with cars during the day, especially around the colleges. The compound next to INTI College was used as parking lot a year or 2 back until MPSJ took over. Some construction works were done and the place was left almost empty until recently they decided to make a comeback with their car-towing business.

By the way, the whole stretch at the side of the road in front of Taylor's and INTI College has their square-yellow colour lines removed and painted with one straight-yellow colour line.

Thinking that the newly painted line was an unfinished work (as parking spaces were provided along that stretch), I spotted a car which was about to leave. By the way, that very day, all the 'lots' were completely taken. I waited for that goddamn driver who took damn kao long to drive away.

In front of me stood a MPSJ officer. He was fully aware I was waiting for the lot as he was staring towards my car, or my direction, I don't know. But it was damn kao obvious la that he knew.

I quickly parked my car to the empty spot, got out from the car and was about to cross the road to pay for my parking ticket when I saw him walking towards my direction. He went straight up to a few Malay ladies who came together and had their car parked right behind my car, and said:

'Sini tak boleh park. Sudah tukar ke line kuning. Nanti tunda susah. Carilah parking di tempat lain'

I overheard and went straight up to him to ask clearly. He was so reluctant to tell me.

KNNBCCB. This MPSJ officer is racist.

If it werent for my sharp-ears >O_O<, I'd have gotten a summon for illegal parking.

Already provided so bloody insufficient parking spaces and yet conveniently changed the much-needed ones in the area to non-parking spots. I reckon they just wanna tow and tow and tow and collect fines from us. Money-rippers I shall say.

I followed Roy to PD last saturday night. He's there for work and I pulak lepak to the max @Avillion. Hehe. The resort is awesome.

I saw this flyer given in the room regarding events that are going to be held in PD in months to come. One of them is S A L E M R E L E V A T I O N R A V E 2 0 0 6 (28.10.06). Duh, that's like 5 more months to go. I hope this time around we don't have to walk so god damn far. I remember the last rave me and Roy had to walk about 25 minutes to the location.

One of the Zouk Ambassadors pissed me off so much when I first got there with a few friends. My girlfriend who had made a reservation couldn't make it on time to redeem for the table. So I got the table on behalf of her since I was there right before the 'supposed redemption time'.

After paying for the bottle and got our stamps, we headed straight to one of the waiters to ask for the table. He then escorted us to the reserved table. FYI, all reserved tables had names of people who well, made the reservations. So the white paper printed in absolute clear 4 letters of my friend's name and it's very, very visible.

Within 10 minutes our bottle and mixers were served. And this young lady nicely came to me and said 'You took my table. This is MY table'. I showed her the name printed on the white paper straightaway and said 'No; it is mine'.

She then turned her direction to the table next to ours.

Minutes later, another lady came to me.

'You took my friend's table'

'Huh? Are you Emma?'

She nodded.

I then politely said 'Maybe there's a mixed-up. I'll check with the waiter, if there's 2 Emmas, I'll take the one at wherever it is located then'.

So I walked straight to the waiter who was stationed in that area and asked him about the matter. He took out his paper and light and was about to search for the apparent mixed-up ...

BAH! That bloody lady snatched the paper away and dragged him to a side and talked for minutes. Of that, I told Tubby I won't give out the table because of her bloody attitude.

After her unsuccessful attempt, she came up to me and apologized saying there was a 'miscommunication'. It turned out she's one of the Zouk Ambasaddors. Lets just name her A. Not long after that, another Zouk Ambassador came up to me (thinking I was my girlfriend) and apologized too saying there was a 'miscommunication'. Their manager had 'changed' our table to the other side and released it to others. For goodness sake, if that's the case the management should have hastily changed the names but they didn't. And I redeemed for the table. End of the story right? Anyways the 2nd Z.Ambassador at the least made the effort to explain the matter. It was all cool...

Until...

That bloody A approached me again within the next 15minutes asking me to COMPROMISE a bit by exchanging table with her friends (ahem, what's there to compromise?). Apparently, the table next to ours was her friends and as there was quite a number of them, the whole reason was to join the 2tables to accomodate them all. HELL NO la. If she had approached us in a nicer way in the first place, I'd definitely give the table to her but she claimed to be Em and snatched the paper away from the waiter when I wanted to check on the reservation? That's too much.

In addition, I told her I couldn't possibly change as I redeemed the table on behalf of my girlfriend. So whatever it was, I had to wait for her to come and see if she agreed to it or not. She shrugged and left and never come back. She and her friends must have thought I was Em all along cos when girlfriend and the rest reached; they had gotten themselves a table, a few tables away from ours. Heh.

It was a pretty fun night afterall. I was literally wasted. Correction, everyone was literally wasted. Hehe.

emma &i were @klcc the other day. mother called and needed to meet me urgently. it was right after office-hour.

since both of us didnt drive, we quickly rushed out from the mall to hail for a cab.

as predicted, the first cab we hailed used no fucking meter and wanted to charge us rm10 for our destination. i slammed the door so hard that i think the driver was cursing at me.

second cab that stopped asked of our destination. he nodded and i saw him pressing on the meter fare. that was why we both hopped in thinking that he charged by meter.

as he was about to accelerate ...

"seorang 10 ringgit eh moi"

"apa?? kan guna meter? BERHENTI! BERHENTI!!"

he braked immediately and these 2 kwai-pohs were walking towards the cab.

its the time of the month again to calculate (the past 2months or less) expenses. my boyfriend has the receipts kept.

its a whopping RM3100! on food alone. excluding my side (which i think can easily total up to 4grand). gosh. have we been eating that much? but im still as skinny as ever. in fact, skinnier. my baby darling? not as bloated as he was a few months ago. *lol* i guess we have very high metabolism la. :)

we should really cut-down our almost- extravagant spending on food. therefore, we shall:

have a budget of RM8 @most (each person) for our lunches. (blame the hot&humid weather, we always ended up eating in malls; which means we spend an average of RM35 *grins*)
have dinner @home during weekdays.
spend less on ALCOHOL! mmm hmmm. we can really drink *ahem* (we have not been drinking as often as before - but our expenses are still high!)
lesser visits (we are already compare to last time) to expensive restaurants - we love to indulge into fine food :)

we'll see if this works by the end of this month :D

my friend, Vynd related to me the incident encountered by his friends a few days ago.

those of you who are KTV-fanatics please do not read beyond this sentence (oh i doubt it anyway that you will just stop right here; heh).

it was last month he said; a group of 8 (of his friends) went for K-session. after hours of mad singing and drinking, his friends finally called it a night and asked for the bill. after the bill was sent to them, one of them checked on the list of items to see if it was the correct billing or vice-versa.

and there was a surcharge of an extra person (as there was, as mentioned earlier, only 8 of them). his friend then told the waiter who sent the bill about the matter. the waiter then argued there was 9 of them when he did the headcount earlier.

"nonsense!" said one of them and barged outta the room demanding to see the manager in charge.

he then insisted there was only 8 of them; the manager counter-checked with that waiter and he was so sure that there were 9 of them. couldn't settle the matter, the manager resolve to checking on the tape used to record/monitor the room (there's CCTV installed inside).

the 8 friends, the manager &the waiter witnessed something that sent a shiver down their spines.

a lady ghost was sitting on the sofa when the group was partying away. when one got up from his/her spot, she would move to that spot and continued staring at them. the waiter even saw her followed behind the group when they were heading towards the counter.

last night, my boyfriend mentioned that his friend from workplace told him about her friends (this time was a group of 4) who also encountered the similar incident recently.

spoooooooky. thats like 2 cases in less than 2months.

what do you do when you come across a fellow group-mate who is so irresponsible?

in my case, i kept quiet; i had my 2other friends confronted her about HER problems. so we thought she would show ~~more~~ a tiny bit of interest and at least contribute a little to our work after such confrontations: twice? thrice? or more? i dont remember.

we started this research study almost 2months ago. correct me if im wrong (if any of you; my members; are reading this). we finally formed sufficient research questions after weeks of hardwork. her contribution to it? NOTHING. so we handed her the written questions &asked her to type them into a complete set of questionnaire. how wrong can you go when all you need to do is just T.Y.P.E. according to the questions written clearly on the paper?? not forgetting she was fed with thorough explaination on her part. but still! her work was utterly rubbish. no proper alignments. missing words in sentences. grammar mistakes. MCH!

leaving only less than a week to complete the whole research; she still dilly-dally with journals she was told to look for.

so mother forced me to consult ophthalmic specialist @pantai medical centre.

almost 1 and a half hours wait i only spent LESS THAN 5 minutes with the specialist. one bloody cocky datuk lady. no explaination. no eye contact. only a minute long examination on my eyes with the machine and said "very bad conjunctivitis".

"hmmm ... ok" i said

"come back tomorrow for check-up"

"so fast?? is it necessary?"

super de-lan-si de-specialist replied "you wouldn't want your whole family members get infected. dont come if you dont want to"

&consultation fee was RM100 (&i receieved such a bad treatment; bloody hell) + RM40 on medicines.

of course i dont intend to go back to her. if my condition worsen a few days after ill just go to another specialist.

mother&i planning to go to korea mid of next month.

she called up for enquiries on the airfares during the MAS travel fair.

one-way fare cost RM599. so 2-way would be RM1198

as a frequent-flyer herself my mother knows pretty much how the airport charges are like.

"lets just say taxes add on another hundred plus. max RM200 for each person. total fare should be around RM1400. but the billing for each came up to RM1800+. crazy! might as well wait for MATTA fair," said mother.

additional charge of RM600+ : reason being cheaper airfare (during promotional period) thus taxes are charged higher --> WTF?

&thought of settling down with a 14" Acer brand.

w : why not buy a duo-core as it works faster &people are going to switch to this tech in the near future.

me : ive absolute no idea about computers. but i will take into consideration tho.

so the next few days i did some enquiries on that new model from Acer.

&another friend got to know i was looking for a notebook.

yh : hey ive got you some brochures; &there's this one from Acer selling at a pretty good price. (also a duo-core &he started explaining bits about the goods of it)

taking their advices; i finally bought a 15.4" Acer duo-core

now. im starting to have doubts on my buy cos the notebook seems to look too big for me. :(
